Overview

The Young Women’s Clinic is for women between the ages of 15 and 35. This clinic specifically focuses on the issues and stages of life inherent to being young women. As the nurturers in our society, women have higher rates of some psychiatric illnesses.

The Young Women’s Clinic is established on a sense of community between providers and patients. This clinic is specifically for professionals, mothers, college students and college graduates, and older high schoolers.

Treatments

A diagnostic evaluation gets things started. At the first appointment, your provider will discuss with you options for treatment, which may include medications to treat your specific illness. Common medication classes are anti-depressants, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics (anti-anxiety meds), antihistamines and stimulant medications.

Psychotherapy may be provided by a clinical counselor and may address cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed psychotherapy, grief therapy, and supportive or eclectic therapy.
